PalGes 2024 meeting in Warsaw – submit your abstract until 15th July

The upcoming Joint Meeting of the Polish Paleobiologists and Paläontologische Gesellschaft – PalGes 2024 – in Warsaw, will take place from 16th to 21st September 2024 at the Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw. This is the 95th meeting of Palges.

The conference will focus on the theme “More than extinct species: the importance of fossils for ecology, evolution, and conservation across borders?”, highlighting the interdisciplinary nature of paleobiological sciences and the significant role of information from the geological past in addressing current ecological, evolutionary, and biodiversity protection issues. While English is the official language of the meeting, there will be associated outreach events in German, English, and Polish.

The event is organized by the Faculty of Biology UW, the Faculty of Geology UW the Institute of Paleobiology Polish Academy of Sciences, the Palaeontological Section of the Polish Geological Society, the Polish Geological Institute – National Research Institute, and the Paläontologische Gesellschaft. This joint event aims to facilitate cooperation between researchers from different countries and planning joint, international research projects.
