Grants for scientists from the Faculty of Biology UW in the Sonata Bis 14 and Maestro 16 National Science Centre calls

Two scientists from the Faculty of Biology UW received grant funding in the Sonata Bis 14 call. Our Faculty will also be a co-executing institution for a grant awarded in the Maestro 16 call. Congratulations!

The laureates of the Sonata-Bis call are:

  • Dr. hab. Anna Malik – project entitled “CHI3L1 (YKL40) w udarze niedokrwiennym: wpływ na mikrośrodowisko mózgu i odzyskiwanie sprawności motoryczne”, PLN 5,341,260
  • Dr. Marta Maleszewska-Bobińska – project entitled “Odkrywanie roli DMRTA2 w glejaku wielopostaciowym: regulacja epigenetyczna, angiogeneza i rozwój biomarkera”, PLN 5,522,513

Meanwhile, the MAESTRO grant, led by International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw (IIMCB) and conducted in collaboration with our Faculty, was awarded to Prof. Andrzej Dziembowski. The tiltle of this project is “Polimeraza poli(A) TENT5A: Kluczowy regulator osi hormonalnej podwzgórze-przysadka u ludzi”, and the total funding amounts to PLN 5,968,400.
