3rd IMMUNO-model Annual Conference at the University of Warsaw

26 02 2025
3rd IMMUNO-model Annual Conference, titled “Modeling Immunotherapy for Cancer: Bridging Research to Clinical Application”, will take place at the University of Warsaw on May 13-14, 2025. The event will bring together leading researchers, industry experts, and clinicians to discuss the latest advancements in the field. The Faculty of Biology is the organizer of the conference.
The groundbreaking impact of immunotherapy on cancer treatment is best exemplified by its remarkable success in previously untreatable malignancies, such as metastatic melanoma. However, despite its potential, the widespread application of these therapies remains limited due to variable efficacy and associated toxicities. Addressing these challenges requires a deeper understanding of the complex interactions between tumor cells and the immune system.
A major bottleneck in immuno-oncology research is the scarcity of preclinical models that accurately reflect human immunity, hampering the identification of new therapeutic targets, biomarkers of treatment response and toxicity, as well as the development of reliable combination therapies. The COST Action IMMUNO-model CA21135 is dedicated to advancing research in preclinical immuno-oncology models, with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
